It might all sound a little technical, but this particular treatment works by vacuum, gently drawing skin into the hand piece. The skin is then gently stretched thin, which helps the energy source move closer to its intended area of treatment. The laser is then turned on, allowing the skin’s melanocytes to be spread apart, and blood flow constricted. The area intended to be treatment is, in effect, damaged, without causing damage to the area around it, and at the end, the skin is released from the hand piece.

Depending on the area to be treated, energy is basically applied to the target section, which is all you will be aware of. Underneath the surface however, the pigment cells in the skin are being pulled apart, reducing the blood flow within the area. This causes the hair follicle to be damaged, without causing damage to the surrounding area. At the end of the treatment the skin is released.
