Trifecta Med Spa offers LightPod Era laser. The LightPod Era represents a new era in skin rejuvenation. The Era is a high precision 2940 nm laser that delivers high fluence in a unique collimated beam, employing a gentle 300-microsecond pulse duration.
Our ablative laser treatment allows patients to achieve profound rejuvenation on the widest range of skin conditions including eradication of wrinkles (fine lines, crow’s feet, smoker’s lines), scar resurfacing (burn scars, acne scars), sun damage, age spots and other cutaneous lesions, and pore reduction among other treatments.

How does ablative laser treatment work?
The process is actually quite simple compared to many other types of medical procedure, but deserves the same amount of thought and caution nonetheless. It is, after all, still a medical treatment.
The process works by utilizing a series of small mirrors and lenses to intensify and condense a stream of light. This light is then used to essentially vaporize damaged skin by penetrating below the epidermis and stimulating the generation of new skin cells in place of the old ones.
This process allows the body to create new elastin and collagen, which are two of the main components of healthy, vibrant looking skin tones. An ablative laser treatment typically requires a small amount of sedative or anaesthesia, as it tends to be slightly more abrasive than other treatment options. It also requires a small amount of recovery time for most patients receiving treatment, as opposed to some lesser treatments that allow patients to return to daily activities almost immediately.

What to Expect Post Treatment
Minimal discomfort during the post treatment healing process is to be expected. Results are typically seen within a week to two weeks post treatment. It is normal for some bruising, pigmentation and redness and soreness to follow, symptoms which subside after about two weeks. Areas of pigmentation resolve themselves within a few months and are nothing to become concerned about.
